Loaded baked potato: outside skirt steak, sour cream, cheddar cheese, homemade salsa, fire roasted jalapeno and avacado.

Side dish: corn with sautéed onions and fired roast bell peppers. Bell peppers were roasted, vac packed  and frozen a few weeks ago.
Looks damn good and live too!

Nice looking steak Greg.
I hope the Heinz 57 sauce is for something off camera. Lol

Cheers

Yeah, I thought about some possible flack from having steak sauce in the picture.  I really like H57 with sirloin - probably the only time I use it.  Reminds me of my childhood when my dad would literally burn the steak on the outside and still have MR inside.  It seems to go well with the char.

I find it funny how we do so many things before cooking the meats we make - rubs, marinades and even the charcoal and wood to get a particular taste and then steak sauce gets shunned.  We say it at my house too, "A good steak needs no sauce."  H57 just appeals to me every now and then.  I don't really care for A1 though.......

Cheers!

Greg, That's a valid reason to apply H57 to a steak. I'm not judging, eat what makes you happy!

Growing up my stepdad or grandfathers never grilled. We would eat at the Ponderosa Steak House a few times a year. I recall ordering the cheapest cut of steak cooked WELL done and using a third of a bottle of A1. That's all I knew at the time and have not eaten A1 in over 35 years. My Stepdad still covers his burnt well done steaks with A1 to this day.

cheers

I put ketchup on steak until my early 20's.  If I put anything on a steak now, it's st Elmo's horseradish sauce. Out of this world on all things beef.
