@56MPG

I don't have one of those measuring tools but we were able to weigh the grate.

These pics do not look the best but in a nutshell Ernie's grate comes in at 12.46 lbs.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Thanks for doing this. Any chance you weighed the lid?

That grate is a beast! 4lbs heavier than the GBS grate with insert? Twice the weight of a Wood Dale grate?

I just looks heavy in person, would not have guessed that heavy though
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

I did not get the lid, sorry Marty, maybe next year.

Maybe you could weigh and measure the lid, grate on the Original you took measurements of a while back?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that Original I had left out behind the barn when I picked it up last winter from an old guy who was moving to Florida and didn't want to drag it with him. I was planning to clean it up before revealing it to the club. Better check to see if it's still there - I told my SIL he could cash in a load of scrap metal from my kettle boneyard after I did some spring cleaning and was out of town for a while. Not sure I mentioned not to take that one now that I think about it.

If it's still there I'll weigh it up and report back.
