Brother’s Birthday and some Al Pastor!
« on: February 23, 2019, 01:24:24 PM »
Tried a new recipe today for my brother’s birthday! I’ve been wanting to do this for while!

I took some pork shoulder, sliced it thinly, then marinated it with chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chili powder, cumin. Then, cooked it indirect under some pineapple for about an hour, then finished them by cooking the pieces direct to achieve some crispy edges.

Served it with warm corn torillas, fresh cilantro, onions, and cheese. Also, had a tamarind Jarritos soda and a Dos Equis!

Tasty tasty! Hope you enjoyed reading this half as much as we enjoyed chowing down on it.

Looks great. If you like making al pastor, get yourself a trompo and use the rotisserie ring.

Looks awesome. I love anything that involves chipotle peppers.

thats a cool contraption. However, my bro requested I make this for his bday and only gave me 12 hours notice or so.  So I worked with what I had.
