Doing a prime rib on the 4th on my 26" Weber low and slow and looking for a good rub. Must have garlic in it though. In the past I have used Montreal Steak Seasoning which was good but looking for something different. Thanks in advance.

for me I use S&P garlic powder and onion powder, make a homemade horseradish sauce and some au jus let the meat talk
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Might give that a try. I make a blue cheese sauce that I like and also the au jus does top it off and add some of the drippings from the rib makes it really extra special.

I cook on: Backwoods Gater, Lang 36, Hunsaker Smokers, Pellet Pro 22" WSM, BGE's, WSM's, Cajun Bandits, PK Grills, Drum Smokers, Genesis Silver C, Weber Q's, Cookshack 008, Little Chief, La Caja China #2, Lodge Sportsman...oh yeah! Weber Kettles! Kamado restoration and pit modification hack!

I like to give it a light to medium coating of Tatonka Dust and schmear (yes, I said schmear) on a paste of olive oil, LOTS of fresh garlic, rosemary, and heavy black pepper.

Last one I did I used...

BPS Money, Oakridge Santa Maria, and Simply Marvelous Peppered Cow.

It was dynamite.

Next time I'll add Cash Cow to the mix.

Thanks for all the input folks now if I don't over cook the beast it should be good to go.

I say don't rub it...just have Au jus, and horse radish ready when it's done.
