Trying out my parents electric smoker just for variety. I filled the hopper with pellets and filled the water pan. I set at 275 and 3 hours in, won’t go past 250. It is producing a lot of smoke. Maybe not quite as nice of smoke as I get on the kettles. I’m underwhelmed by it’s inability to cook above 250, however my brother warns it will sky rocket past temp at some point. We will see. Either way it’s fun to use a different machine. I’m doing a couple chuckies for psb. I’ll update later.

It doesn’t run true to temp at all but you can adjust to cook where you want using another therm. The display is always around 25 degrees off. All in all it doesn’t do too bad. I sampled the beef before wrap and it tastes great. I wouldn’t buy one but it’s fun to play with a different gizmo.
