I'm just curious, I've been using Weber briquettes - but it's quite expensive. What charcoal do you guys use?

I know in the states the 'go to' is usually Kingsford, or Stubbs all Natural. But here in the UK we don't have either.

Kingsford was on sale recently, so I am using my stockpile of it.

I prefer Weber when it can be obtained at reasonable prices.

Royal oak lump is a fave, too, for certain applications.

I use Royal Oak briqs and lump exclusively. Good stuff.
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

I don't know if you can get it locally across the pond... I get mine locally at Lowes.

I've been using Weber's briquettes (off Amazon) but if I'm honest, I have found the actual briquettes to be quite small and they certainly don't look like they could "...burn for 3 hours" as shown on the packaging.

I'm gonna try the 'Big K' brand of briquettes next:

20kg for £25 seems pretty good.....

Shanks Kop

Unfortunately we don't have a Kingsford equivalent here in the UK.

The consistency of UK fuel is quite varied even from the same manufacturer any given year.

Funnily enough, I had a bag from Sainsbury's that burnt rather well
