Greetings all,
I have been with a Weber 18" charcoal kettle still in its box for about a year. I managed to put it all together a couple months ago and have been grilling several times a week ever since. Being a novice "geezer" griller, I have learned much from my mistakes. Now, I am quite honestly a whiz at spatchcock chicken (yummer-doodle)

I live in a senior mobile home community and did not like the ash blowing all over the deck,
AND SO...
I managed to rig up a better ash catcher by re-purposing the large ("pasta") pot from my camp kitchen box.

Make it a Great Good Day!
Best, Juanita

Welcome from the East Bay (Castro Valley) Juanita.  Where in the North Bay do you call home @Publicknitter  ?  You just missed our annual WKC West Coast picnic at San Pablo Dam Reservoir earlier this month. Here are photos from the event. Maybe you can join us next year.
