Just getting the couple ready for tomorrow's cook. I am going to try to smoke some spares on the ranch. I will have some meat in the WSM as well in case I mess it up on the ranch.

Classy couple you got there, but where are the kids?  ;D

Heyjude

I see three chimneys in the back? Do they count as kids or pets?  8)

Love that Ranch and the shed up back
Plenty of room to store some kettles in there
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Getting them loaded with fuel. Thus is my first smoke with the RK.

This isn't new, but I really like to fire up the WSM with an old can. Dump a chimney of lit Rancher surrounded by Frontier lump.

Nothing like the smell of charcoal in the morning with a cup of coffee.

After the RK settled in, maintained 275 without much fiddling.

RK has a Dutch oven with homemade baked beans. This will simmer with two racks of spares. Going to try foiling with brown sugar, honey, and hit sauce. Never tried spares this way. Cooking up some chickens wings later.

WSM gas two racks of spares and four loin backs. It is a beautiful day to smoke up some meat.

I need another shed for my BBQ man cave. Thanks - that is what sold us on this house. Nice yard is a lot of fun-especially in northern NJ.

It's amazing that in the pic the ranch doesn't look that much bigger than the WSM because of the perspective. I've never seen them side by side in person but I know each of them is a monster.

Looks great! I see you borrowed AJ's hammock. :)

The RK is the ultimate for indirect cooking due to space. I would have normally fired up the 26 and one of the performers to accommodate this. Dutch oven, two spares, and wings with space to spare.

Spares cooked on RK - they were good with a nice bark.

4 racks of loin backs on the WSM. Already removed the two racks of spares from the top grate.

First smoke with RK. Temps are easy to control, and one much watch out as it can take off if you aren't careful. Fuel usage wasn't much different than 26. The $7 bottom vents were all that I replaced.
