Breaking in the new kettle.
« on: June 02, 2018, 07:27:23 PM »
My wife let me get a new kettle today and I decided to break it in with 3 NY Strips and pineapple. The steaks were alright, tried a new butcher shop out and wasn't real impressed. The pineapple turned out great though.

Looks delicious to me!

When you do pineapple is there any prep to it or just sear each side and its done?

I usually do a little brown sugar on top if I have some. (Honestly, when do guys like us NOT have brown sugar laying around?) But it turns out great plain with just a little charcoal heat added.

I just grill it, I don't usually put anything on it before grilling, but like others have said, brown sugar works good too.
