So I picked up a regular Smokey Joe for free a few weeks back. I've salvaged to grill & charcoal grates for Outriders, which I prefer. I can't think of any situation in which I'd want to use this SJ instead of an Outrider, Jumbo Joe, or just about anything else.

So what should I do with the rest of the parts? Open to any/all suggestions. (Except for "Just keep it around." I have a hard enough time justifying to the wife the number of FUNCTIONAL grills I own.)

The more creative, the better. Shoot.

Clean it up and give it to someone at work, a neighbor, or a kid walking down the road.
You can't always get what you want....but if you try sometimes you get what you need

Give a man some barbecue, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to barbecue, and he'll eat for a lifetime.

Gift it to someone who would use it.
Make a 14" WSM.

Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.

Well, the problem is it lacks both a charcoal & a grill grate. I suppose someone could replace those with new ones, but that would cost more than just picking up a different one off CL.

My wife seemed to go for the flowerpot idea.

BTW- I already have a tamale mini WSM I made with my outrider. That's what I stole the grill grate for. :)

I agree with the flower pot idea.  Keep the Weber motif.

Hell Fire Grill

Put it in the center of the dinning room table full of fruit.

Have a florist make a big floral display in it...then give it to your wife.

I made one into a gas chiminey lighter and put it in a genisis cart.

Grilling lights, with sockets and wiring from hardware store.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
