Just a technique I use...

Nothing ground breaking here.  I have a 16 gallon burn barrel that I keep in the garage. I toss the old grate from my outrider on the top.  Now when I fill my chimney, the dust and debris from the bottom of the charcoal bag go to the bottom of the barrel, to be burnt in the next burn.

I do the same thing with a galvanized steel bucket, the bucket comes with a lid from Home Depot. I also tend to keep it away from my spare propane tank, even when it's empty.

Yeah, that's probably a pretty good idea.
