Looks delicious! That rub looks good. What's in it? Also is there a big fat cap on Aldi butts? I'm thinking about picking some up before the sale ends this week. And I'm still really sad I missed out on a 26 last week...
I apply a base layer of kosher salt and coarse black pepper then I applied hogs n heat mild and savory which is awesome stuff. You would be surprised what a difference that base layer makes. I always do that first regardless of what rub I use.
