Saturday Smashburgers

Lil blue had been out of rotation since the tailgate at Miller Park. Saturday seemed like the perfect day to fire her up. Decided on smashburgers kicked up a bit was the way to go. Started with 8020 seasoned with Webers Gourmet Burger and some fresh ground black pepper. Using my CI griddle over the SnS SS basket was perfect for this cook. The 2 distinct heat zones is exactly what I needed. Layer of Stubbs in the basket and half chimney of lump on top. Grilled up the onions and bacon and then on to the burgers. I just love the crust on the smashburgers keeping the middle perfectly med. rare. and topped with American cheese and egg + Meatheads glop...damn tasty eatzzz
