Smoking a big ass prime rib for a family get together with some cousins and their families.  I was tasked with the meat.  I rubbed and injected last night with Butchers prime brisket injection and Oakridge Black Ops brisket rub.  Mama made a smear that I applied this morning.  It's fresh garlic, rosemary, sage, thyme, salt , and pepper.  Everything smells stupid good and I haven't even applied heat yet!

12Lbs of meaty goodness ready for later!

Sounds great!  Can't wait to see a finish pic.  I can imagine an injection would be good to get some additional flavor to the middle. Not like it needs it but I'll bet it will make it extra tasty.

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

The ends were more medium which turned out to be a good thing. I didn't know everyone there and some of of them liked it a bit more done.

I pulled it at 130° IT.  FTC for about 45 minutes before carve up.

If it were being served at my house, I would've pulled around 120°  :P
