Sunday foodfunday...Ausie leg'o lamb
« on: November 06, 2017, 07:31:35 AM »
Fired up Lady DI for a butterflied Ausie leg of lamb yesterday. Made a marinade of olive oil, SnP, minced garlic, fresh rosemary, thyme and parsley. I cut small slits in the leg and placed in bag with marinade and massaged into the the leg. 3/4 chimney into the SnS and I used the Weber elevated half grate to cook direct but well above the coals, about 10 minutes per side. Served with freshly grilled pita, homemade tzatziki sauce, tomato and onion. Along side a seasoned 4 rice blend. Leinenkugel Octoberfest paired great with the lamb.

Nice cook, Scott.  Love seeing the elevated half-grate in action.  Care to share your tzatziki sauce?

Grate cook, love Lamb and Tzatziki
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Thx Charlie.  Here's the basic recipe I use. It's great as a dip, with veggies etc. I used 12oz of yogurt and adjusted the ingredients. https://natashaskitchen.com/2013/10/10/tzatziki-sauce-recipe/
