Thanks. I had a partially burned log in the fire pit so I thought I'd toss it in. It makes it taste more like cooking over a campfire imo. The family really didn't notice so it was subtle.

Lookin good man. So, did you let the split burn down to ash or just go with it. Thoughts on the smoke?

We posted the same time.  It was partially burned before tossing it in. The smoke flavor is unique.  I think it would pair well with beef. I might need to give it a shot on a low and slow. I compare it to cooking over an open fire when you buy a bundle of wood at the camp store for lacking better description.
