Thats friggin awesome!

Lol

Plz give a play by play story from the time you saw the listing, screamed like a little kid on Christmas, and explaining to your wife that you were taking a detour. What was her initial reaction?
Lucky for me my wife is understanding about my Weber addiction. I told her this thing is early sixties and very rare and we are going to get it. I'm a lucky guy.

I can't believe he actually still had that. I've been thinking about making the 8 plus hour round trip for 3 weeks for that. Just couldn't justify it in my mind. Great score.

You knew where this was for 3 weeks and did not act? You could not justify a eight hour drive? I believe the Kettle has wound up where it belongs.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

A little history about this Grill from previous owner. Just think this kettle almost became a flower pot.

I thought the same thing when I first read this.  But what I really can't believe it's that it wasn't posted here.  Well done all!!  Just my opinion.

What kind of ash pan is that?  Does it have the hooks?  From the pics, it appears to be straight edged with the cutouts...just curious!  Congrats on the amazing score!

Looks like this.

Once in a lifetime score!   Very nice, there is one 10 minutes away from me that is now on ebay for an ungodly amount of $.  That is my (along with everyone else) holy grail!  Can't wait to see pictures of it cleaned up!

@mattlillis73 let's see some new pics of this sweet find!
I actually don't have it right now. @lightningboldtz picked it up and took it to the Chicago meet up. When I take some new pics I will differently post them.
