I use my kettle for an oven for the same reason.  It's just too hot!  Used it to heat up my pulled pork enchiladas.  Worked great.  They were nice bubbly and melty and the kitchen stayed cool.

I lived off the Stouffers Lasagna in college.  Had one about a year ago and it was pretty good, unlike everything else from my younger days that I somehow survived on.
