Just an 18.5 and some chicken thighs
« on: July 01, 2017, 03:31:07 PM »
Chicken thighs on the 18 with steamed broccoli and baked potato.

My $15 black OTS

Tastes great. Towards the end of the cook my neighbor walks up to the fence. As we drink our beers and bullshit he said you have more grills than I do!  Yeah bud, Weber Kettles are timeless and make the best food. He says his grills are going to shit and wants to buy one of mine. I'm an OTG short now but if it helps a neighbor then so be it. I offered to give it to him but he was very adamant on paying. I took what I paid for it.

Great looking cook. That was nice of you to offer one up. I've been very tempted to offer my neighbor one as well because he is using a generic kettle at the moment. Which one did he buy?

It was my DE (2009) black OTG. I couldn't let the DZ go because that's the year the wife and I were married. I made sure to swap out my stainless steel grate with a plated one. He's taking it camping in a couple of weeks and then it will replace one of his dying grills.

I was hoping to have more time with it to switch out the stainless sweeps for new aluminum ones but he wanted it tonight so it's gone. And yes that 18 is a killer grill. Probably my main cooker right now.
