Day that quickly turned around

So since i like my performer so much, i decided to scrap my idea of building a custom cart for a kettle and a patio broilmaster that i had picked up last year. I was on the hunt for a weber gasser. After missing out on a couple deals and no responses from a few i was feeling discouraged. Then, I ended up getting stuck at work a little late to top things off. Finally on my drive home, i see this! sitting curbside. I get out to find that not only that it was mostly all there but when i lift the top i see this!A bunch of skewers and more than a full bag of fresh charcoal! Then, as I'm about a mile down the road, one of the people selling a gasser calls me! The one i was really hoping for! And i can go get it immediately, on my way home. So 100 bucks later i have this! She's a beauty, stainless grates, a cover, and everything works!Good day!

The guys working on that pole probably came back with kabob meat and were wondering what happened to their BBQ.  Hahaha.

Cool finds right there

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Lol! I tried to be as obvious as possible just in case it was some sort of mistake so someone could stop me! Believe me, in that neighborhood, people toss out all kinds of nice stuff. It looked like someone just said "hell with this thing", tossed the charcoal and whatever they had in the bowl, and wheeled it out. Never sure if they figure it's not worth their time to clean something up and sell it or what. But it definitely didn't fit the mold around there, it was at least a $1,000,000+ house on Lake St. Clair it was at the curb in front of.

Awesome finds, Mike  I think you have the bug now.  Be careful.

Do you have different knobs on that gasser?  if so, I think I have a couple of those to sync then up so they are uniform
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

He only says that because his hoard of grills on the side of his house has been growing of late.... You're welcome, Boldtz!   (he blames me and Brian)

Awesome on that '89 BAR-B-KETTLE!

Yes the guy said he fired up the grill one day and  flames came up from the knob. So he brought it to the local bbq store (bourliers) to have it diagnosed and it turned out a spider web plugged up something and they "repaired" it.

You know what would be cool... gasser knobs that match @zavod44 handles... just sayin'

Yes, especially when almost all hope was lost.
