Kettle "Fried" Chicken
3 lbs of chicken thighs, bone in, skin on
Marinade was:
2 cup buttermilk
10 tablespoons hot sauce
2 cloves of garlic
"Batter" was:
4 cups panko bread crumbs
2 Tbsp butter, melted
Salt and black pepper to taste
Side sauce was:
combo of hot sauce and honey
It was awesome. Family raved about it. I did not do any direct grilling....all indirect. Nice and crispy & very tender and tasty.
I liked it both with and without the sauce drizzled on the chicken.
This recipe will definitely be used again.
