Help with gen 2 performer?
« on: May 22, 2017, 10:53:46 AM »
I just stumbled onto this site today and I know pics would greatly help but I am at work and don't have any but here it goes l recently bought a 2007 Genesis from someone and she threw this performer in for free. It looks to be about as basic as you could get. It has the light grey plastic side table, 8" wheels on one end  and just legs on the other. I am under the assumption that there are supposed to be wheels on the other end too but it looks like it sits pretty level as is and if there were wheels under it it would sit high on that end. All the performers I see have casters so I don't know what to think. Is there a performer gen 2 that did not have casters?

You have a OTP - One Touch Platinum. Lightweight, and easy to move around. Careful lifting it by the table though - they are prone to cracking. No gas assist - but who cares? Use cubes. These are great kettles. Is it an 18.5 or 22.5? What color?

It's a black 22.5". Are there supposed to be plugs in  the end of the legs?  Do you know what year's they were name? Thank you for your help.

Yes - there should be a plug in the end of each leg. Not sure what years these were made off hand, but I think they started in 2000. What's the date code (two letters) on the vent?  True Value or Ace probably has the right size plug. If not, give Weber customer service a call.

Looks like I have a 2001 model. I did find some places that have the plugs for the bottom of the legs but I think I will look at the local hardware store. Thank you guys for your help. This site has a lot of good info.
