Looking for good non spicy rub recipes
« on: May 07, 2017, 03:39:22 PM »
Hi dear all,

My favorite steak rub is Montreal Steak Seasoning over a thin film of olive oil. However, my daughter can't eat anything even remotely spicy. Salt is OK, but no pepper.

So, I am looking for non spicy steak rub recipes that a person who actually likes spice can tolerate.

So far we've been using the Copycat Texas Roadhouse Steak Rub , which I like a lot.

But I am always open to different ideas !

I use this rub recipe from The NY Times as one of my gotos. Plus, my 2.5 yr old who hates 'spicy!' Loves it. It's more sweet than spicy. It does have pepper in it... you could try it without.
