Good on you for being willing to use your valuable time and barbecue skills to cook that chunk of meat, on that beautiful kettle.

We will be with you in spirit through your difficult journey. Soldier on, good sir!

I need more information please. Is that a rib roast?  Is that a fully lit ring of coal?  Looks like it's going to be great.

Nothing better than to combine cast iron cooks with kettle cooking. Just goes hand in hand. Plus the Mrs. Appreciates not using her stuff.

Likely for catching the drippin's for gravy.... let's ask....  @JEBIV  ??

Chili, bean pots (here's both)

Searing.....

I like using CI for toasting burnt ends...

A lot of people have CI griddles...good stuff when you can do bacon & eggs on a Weber !!!

Also, a lot of baking gets CI use...

Very nice pics and use of the cast iron.

I also like the idea of using the CI as a drip pan. Never saw that before. You probably don't get as much loss of dripping as you would with a aluminum tin.

Next brisket I think I will try that to catch the juices with a cast iron pan and then use those drippings when I wrap.

I still don't have a Weber, but being on this forum is making me appreciate them more and wanting one. You guys do some amazing cooks with them.
