Dear Administrator/Moderator:

Is there somewhere on this Forum where I can go to read the PM's I have sent as a courtesy to those PM's sent to me?

In all my past associations with other forums, I have tried to avoid PM's as being unnecessarily secretive, preferring instead to always communicate on the Open Forum, were others can join the discussion if they have good suggestions or ideas.

Is it possible to have a block put on Private Messages sent to me?

Thanks for listening,
HiDesertHal

Troy

Hi Hal, you can view your sent messages here: http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/pm/?f=sent
(from the Messages menu on the My Messages page)

You can change your private message preferences from your Profile management pages.

Hey Troy,

Of all the the private messaging options, there are none that will block any PM's sent to me.

Jon

Hal, you can set options to accept messages from "Administrators Only."

Which seems reasonable.

LightningBoldtz

Hal, do you think the use of PM is so people can be secretive and therefore not a good thing?
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Hey LightningBoldtz,

No, I don't think that at all!

For most people, the concept of a Private Message can be useful and helpful!

It's just that I personally don't like private messaqes!

You must be popular. I've never received enough private messages to give it a second thought.

@Hal Pollner

Howdy Hal.....

I sent it by "private message" because you had said you were going to bail out & the message gets a notification to you, whereas a post in a thread may not be seen if you're not around !!!!
I just really like folks to stick around & join in the fun & interesting discussions & perhaps even meet up w/ fellow members for a cookout.....

Thanks for your comment, 1buckie.

My favorite way to receive a message is through my dear old friend: EMAIL! :D

This way, I can return it with a PICTURE!
