@Shaun , RIGHT, it was the tri tip I got from my "free meat" post... I was trying to clean and straighten my garage and had the ranch and an SSP out in the driveway... Thought what the hell, fun juxtaposition. I had the coals piled in my vortex with the large opening up

Thats a great picture. It took me few seconds to realize what you were saying. Where as my wife straight away recognized it. Goes on to show how 'normal' it is for us.

The Ranch is a great cooker. I love using mine. Even for little cooks.
