Tandoori Chicken Skewers
« on: April 10, 2013, 08:21:09 PM »
So I have had Tandoori Chicken at many Indian restaurants.  Here's my first attempt:

Picked up some Tandoori seasoning at an Indian market.

Mix the seasoning with plain yogurt, lemon juice, oil and marinated cubed chicken breasts for 2+  hours.
Threaded the chicken and onion slices on the firewires.

Scraped the snow and ice off the burgundy SS Performer before the cook !

Made some sauce with plain yogurt, mint leaves, honey, lemon juice ginger ,salt and pepper. Served over a bed of rice.

Used pita bread for an alternative to the Naan which is served with Tandoori.

Here's the results:

Pictures don't come out too good on white plates.

Everyone liked it.  ;D  I was worried it would be too spicy. It was not.

Lemon / yogurt is a good one.....

Try the powder spice mixed with coconut milk 3~4 hour marinade, really good !!!

I use tandoori spice in the cream cheese for ABT's, also very good .......halfway down this thread ~~>
