At around 1:20 in a he video.  The ring he uses inside the snake?  Not sure if this is commercially available or not?

Never seen that before. Honestly, seems like a lot of set up, and I'm a fan of the snake method. If your lookin for a smoking accessory try looking at the slow n sear for the 26r's.

Thanks Travis.  I've been eying that slow n sear for awhile.  Thought this just might make even more real estate for the snake.  Kind of a direct heat deflector.  Kind of an intriguing idea.

That is not the minion like the vid suggested.

Its a snake spin-off that poped up a couple years after the snake first burned its way around.

The snake is a spin-off from an expanded metal ring  that never really had a name.

The video is by a guy named Enrico in Rome, Italy.......good Weber cook.....gets some special made (or makes himself) accessories, of which this ring is one................

That's a great idea.

One could easily take a beater kettle (the bowl) and cut something like this. 

And / Or, make baskets.  I believe @Hogsy has done this very thing.
