best boiled eggs i've done have been via pressure cooker.

Ditto that.  Easy peelsie every time.

I've tried most of those tricks. It all depends on the freshness of the egg. The older the egg gets, the more the inner membrane releases from the shell, thus making it easier to peel. I usually boil about 6 per week. I love them for a quick snack at work. I just get on a cycle of about a week (min) or so of them sitting in the fridge before boiling. 6 eggs in a pot covered with cold water, set on stove, burner on high, timer for 22 min start to finish. Pull immediately into ice bath. Perfect, all yellow (no brown ring) and peels clean every time.

I smoked eggs once, and only once .... Had to try it.
As most of you know, I always enjoy experimenting when it comes to cooking, and cooking with charcoal.

I used my ECB.  At the time, I didn't have a Weber kettle, yet.

Peeled, with some wrapped in bacon.

These ones were uncooked.

The following photos were cross cuts of the boiled and peeled eggs.
They shrunk a bit, but were not bad. They were dry, but a little hot sauce on them solved that.
The bacon wrapped ones may be a good starter for a breakfast fatty.:)

As expected, I did not notice much smoke flavour in the ones cooked in the shell. BTW, none of them exploded.
I probably could have taken everything off 30-40 minutes earlier.  YMMV
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.
