This past Monday there was a chili cook off at work supporting the United Way.  I decided to make a brisket chili (again).  Figured I would make a larger brisket on Saturday, cook the chili on Sunday with some of it, and eat the rest.  I've cooked full packers before but this thing was huge.  Used the grate handles to keep it in.  No chili pics unfortunately but I did win.

Brisket was cooked per Adam Perry Lang's "get a book" while beef brisket recipe.  Chili I'm keeping secret!

Thanks Costco!

May The Smoke Be With You!

Looks great. Wonder what I did wrong. Mine tasted good but didn't have that smoke ring.

Thanks @JDD.

@HoosierKettle I'm wondering what I did right.  Best smoke ring to date.  Followed the recipe exactly and smoked it for roughly 12 hours.  Done the same recipe in the past and didn't have the same results.

Yeah! Nice bark and it doesn't look dry at all.

Funny thing is your brisket looks better than the Adam Perry recipe site

I'll have to give that one a try.

My Costco only sells flats and only usda choice. I want a prime whole packer.
Looks great.

That might be the best looking brisket I've ever seen.  Just perfect.

Looks really good :)
I prefer an Offsetsmoker for brisket, ribs and bacon explosion :)
The results have been much better in the past than with my weber.

Doin the WSM Proud!!!  Not to mention that Brisket!!!  Looks all sweaty and jiggly!!!  YUM!!
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...
