The distance from burner tube to grate was about an inch and a quarter less when compared to the genesis S330.

genesis S330
hope that helps answer your question. The genesis needs a good cleaning.

Do you have the model number of the igniters? Need a new one and haven't looked it up yet.
Did your flat top have the griddle with it when you found it?

The igniters are the same as the Summits of the day, being the 901 kit.
You need 2 for the FT-400 and 3 kits for the FT-600.

Thank you for the info vmile, you saved me from having to sort through online manuals.
Great cleanup on this one hogsy, wish mine had the griddle when I picked it up, will track one down eventually.

Thanks Kyle, I think the griddles are probably the same size as the ones on the Genesis and Summit

I have one of these (brisbane, Australia) - had it since new. Love Weber Service/Spares - a couple of years after buying it, had a problem, called to ask about it, no problem, they sent out the sales rep, and he fixed it, no charge for the parts or his time. A few months ago, I pulled it out of storage, and started a cleanup on it - igniters were shot, called them, and a full set posted out for free - would really love to replace the plates (maybe with SS rather than the original enamelled metal, getting rusty in spots, but fear if I was them, they will send me freebies again. (Not that I mind, but I feel a little guilty) - I am reminded of a friend, who bought a hat from LL Bean, in Maine - their product lines run forever, and he noticed the same hat that he had had for 20 years (been around the scuppers of his fishing boat a few times). He turned up at the store, and said "I bought this hat here, 20 years ago", and before he could say "and I would like to buy a new one", they said - "Oh, it hasn't lasted well, let us replace it for you...  Where is that pride in one's craftmanship and products nowadays.

Occasionally see these for sale on Gumtree, and I've heard that they are awesome quality. Some say they best gasser they've ever owned.

Never really wanted one myself, but I dig it. Ease of use, tidy set up & all that
