If it's never been used or NIB (New in box) I could see a serious collector picking it up. If it's used, chipped, dinged, etc. no where near the price. In the end, they are worth what's paid for them. I've got one in excellent shape I picked up from another member. It's got a few spots, but is in great shape. I didn't pay anywhere near the price

At least 4 people think so.

It is crazy money for a beat up & cleaned up old grill in my opinion.
You can't always get what you want....but if you try sometimes you get what you need

It looks like it is in great shape, but yup, that sounds a bit steep. Like Travis said, if it's NIB, then maybe.
Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

Okay, I just looked up the ad... it's pretty beat... that thing is no where near worth that price!

I have been watching that same ad. Up until  a day or so ago the price was $31 and there were only like two bids. Then I looked last night and couldn't believe how it had spiked.  Too high IMO.

Yeah if folks want to go the eBay route and try to get max $ that's fine but I don't search eBay for that reason.

You gotta remember some parts of the country are weber dry , took me 3 years to find a red head , if this came up during that time , I might have jumped on it just to end the search

What @Idahawk  said. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet. Is it worth it? Perhaps not, but there seem to be 4 people that want it enough to pay that price. So, perhaps it is worth it.

Shit, I paid stupid money for a 56/57 18" custom.

Agree with both of you. If someone wants something bad enough and doesn't feel like looking anymore than that is what it is worth to them.

This makes it hard to say what something is truly worth because that value changes between different people

I've paid a good amount of money for a few of my kettles and I've found some locally for a lot less. It has worked both ways for me.
