Some recent cooking etc

I thought I'd post a couple of pictures of what I've been cooking recently. My birthday was last Wednesday so I did some steaks:







I finally broke on the fire pit I got at Cabela's when I visited @MacEggs



The grill laying against it technically makes the fire pit a cooking appliance and is how many people skirt bylaw restrictions on these. One of these days I need to use it as such and take a crack at some open pit barbecue. It made a nice warm radius and a friend who was visiting and I relaxed with some ribs for dinner around the crackling fire.

Last night I did some chicken thighs for dinner and today's lunch with the cast iron roast potatoes and broccoli:





And that's what I've been up to lately.
