That's even less per lb than KBB during the holiday sales.  YMMV.  Some folks are seeing it for $7-something at their Wally Words.

Really didn't need any after stocking up heavily on KBB during the Labor Day sale, but couldn't pass this deal up.  Picked up three twin packs today.

Big fan of Royal Oak lump, but never tried the briqs.  Has anyone here used the briqs?

Don't have a need for these, but too good to pass on.  Nice to have on hand if I run out of my KBB stockpile before Memorial Day   8)

@Mac  I have used the RO briquettes and would say they burn similar to KBB. I stocked up too... ;D

Mine has had it for $5 for at least a month. They still have half the pile.

Is this stuff any good? I've never used it but im thinking about trying it, just don't want to end up with a bunch of junk charcoal.

I have used it, and like it.  Wish I could find prices for it like that up here.
As mentioned earlier, it burns similar to KBB ... However, smells different.  :D
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

I did not have a great experience with this charcoal. However, YMMV. For me, it did not stay lit long enough for me (burned out in a half hour). I could have been doing something wrong. I just used it yesterday and it was ok this time around, but that was a new bag. Maybe I just got a bad bag. Who knows. I have 2 more to go.

Never used Royal Oak, but at this price I'll try a 100 Lbs. Corona CA Wally's had 2-11.6 Lb bags for $7 and 2-12 Lb bags for $5. I think Royal Oak is switching to the slightly smaller bag and clearing out the 12 pounders.
