Disclaimer: due to busy cooks and broken phone, not many pics for this thread :(

We rented a beach house with two other families for a week: 11 people including five kids under 5.  Knowing that restaurants and groups of young kids is dicey I brought the 26 with me so I could cook at home a few nights:

I call this the porta former

I ended up cooking on the 26 for 5 of our 7 nights away:

Night one: arrive and unpack quick cook, burgers and dogs

Night two: pizza night. 5 pies including one half vegan ( a first for me)

Night three: really got after it

Corn, chicken thighs, legs, breasts, as well as bacon wrapped skewers of chicken and filet mignon.

Weather rolled in quicker then forecasted so I had to do the chicken more direct then planned.. Still tasted amazing

Took a break for a few nights and then got back to cooking. Night six New York strips and corn

Night seven: closing time as we were cleaning out the fridge: mixed bag of 2 pizzas, dogs, corn, grilled squash. One of my buddies did some magic inside the house and served up a knock out spaghetti with pesto.

Packing the 26 wasn't easy but the increased cooking space was a game changer. Cooked for big group with ease.

Now that's a Jumbo Joe!

Good job and I'm envious. On a recent camping trip I wanted to bring my jumbo joe but didn't have the space. I had to settle for our son's robin's egg blue SJG. I was only feeding four and did more in the Dutch Oven on the Camp Maid than on the grill so it met or needs.

I have a 26 and love it.

and I was without a grill my entire beach vacation last week.  I think that might change next year.  Great looking cook in the one pic.  I love the porta former name!  Sounds like everyone ate really good.

Love the 26. It's all I use anymore unless I have guests over then I fire up the 22" as well. Still couldn't imagine trying to travel with it. Do you have a van?  Where did you put it?
