I'm thinking the green is the after picture.  All mildewed and moldy to begin with, a good cleaning and it's a high gloss black.

I do love black kettles but the Green little more. Not your typical restore but still a restore as I had to change out the sweeper assy. and clean all the parts to like new condition.   :)
