This recipe is from a fifties bottle of bbq sauce label. It simply said; I pound of ground beef, one onion, one cup of bbq sauce serve on a bun. Sloppy Joes basically. I would scale back the onion next time though.

The results are a must do again. :)

On!

The Sauce of the day. Just keepi'n with that old school motif.

Plated on fresh baked buns before it was devoured! We ate these outside. :)

This weather we are having is A JOKE. I did a roast yesterday and some smoked sausages tonight and flurries coming down both nights. Luckily it looks like it will be warming up this week, finally!

Wow....onions with a spash of ground beef!   Looks very good other than the onions.  I can't stand onions unfortunalely!

Chris n Pitts was one of my favorite places to eat, until 1999-2000 or so when all the restaurants near me closed.  The Hawaiian grilled chicken was always my favorite.

Thanks for posting that old menu Mike, growing up it was the sauce of choice at family bbq's. Open Pit is another I would like to try, but lately I have been using Kraft. I have a few other old recipes I am going to try soon. I like trying to replicate some of the old basic recipes.
