Okay all my fellow WKC members a quick Irish story... Oh wait that is not possible... But I will try my brother from another mother AKA @ctwhyme gave me a 18" Weber Black 1‑Touch. He said he would not really use it :o.

I took it planning on making it into a flower and or tomato garden.

Fast forward a few weeks... I clean it and it looks great! No way can I make this into anything but a grill!  ctwhyme sons birthday is coming soon ;) what better gift then to gift him back the first grill his dad bought?!

But its a 1‑Touch? What to do????  I know Mod and upgrade ::)

Contacted @zavod44 and had some handles, tab, and wood walls made ;D. Then painted the legs... yes painted them with high heat paint. I then got some new grates, and new ash bucket. I took the ash bucket and painted the bucket and handle with high heat paint. I put Red on the handle and black on the bucket.

This is the Star Wars mod.

Got him a new Weber chimney, grill brush, grill glove, Weber seasoning, 5 in one tongs, and some basic Kingsford charcoal to get him started. I hope he likes it!!! I know I would! If he don't I know ctwhyme will now use it ;)

Now lets see some of his cooks!!!
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

I'm sure he will. It isn't always the gift, but the thought behind it. In this case you hit both out of the park. You have my respect!

Awesome gift and an even more awesome gesture.

haeffb

That's a great grill and a great gesture. The discarded grill is now a family heirloom that the son could perhaps someday pass along.

Great story. All of these themed grills that have been put together are amazing.  This one is no exception!

Wow, great job on the gift, and the kettle, "most impressive indeed"

I couldn't think of a better grill for a young guy just getting into grilling.

Really love the mods!

ctwhyme

You most def have this amazing gift of making anything into gold.. Thanks again brother!
Don't make me angry! You wouldn't like me grilling when I'm angry!
