Just acquired a kettle with a bent in leg socket. Anyone have tips for getting it flat again? I was thinking of getting it hot and trying to tap it back in place but concerned about damaging the porcelain. I would rather have the dent then porcelain damage.

Thanks

Tom

The rubber mallet works fantastic @indy82z. I just fixed a bent socket like that this week thanks to @zavod44 advice.  You will find it amazing how easily it fixes dents and bent leg sockets.
