Holy Cow! That's a lot a money for meat. I just went and picked up two briskest ($1.59lb), 1 rack of baby backs, 3 packages a wings(the little drumettes) and a six pack of beer for under $90.

Mosca

Yeah, I only do brisket once or twice a year. Even a choice flat runs close to $60 for an 8 pounder.

Bone-in pork shoulders, on the other hand, are 99 cents a pound all the time, so I do them once a month or so in the summer, and in the crock pot during the winter.

Rondo

Brisket has become expensive here. I've seen them for over $50.

Taking the family to some friends house they just moved in. I have to take my kettle as those two aren't grillers. Simple dogs, burgers, maybe spice it up just a little for the adults with jalapeƱo poppers and maybe for the kids with pigs in a blanket.

*Edited* Just got back from the store...

My wife decided, we are making butts for sure now. A little Fast Eddy rub, some apple wood and onto the kettle til they are done. On the 4th, that is.

...BOBBING FOR COALS IN MY KETTLE

Craig

Brisket and ribs on the WSM. Maybe some wings or smoked brats for lunch on a kettle.

WNC

Wings and hot dogs over here, with gin and tonics in the inflatable pool.

Something about the fourth screams hot dogs to me, but now you guys got me wanting to a long cook...

100 lb pig in the La Caja China, 50ish lbs of brisket across two Kettles (gotta get a Ranch!), about 30 lbs of chicken, a bunch of burgers and sausages. Oh, and pineapple for a Grilled Pineapple & Mango Salsa to go with everything.

@ReverendMike sounds good.  You are an ambitious soul.  There was a Ranch for sale nearby recently. No crabs on the menu?

2 smallish tri-tip roasts. One from a local purveyor; grass-fed, chem free. One super-market quality (though from a different butcher shop that is more quantity, not quality, focused. We'll see if I can taste the extra $6/pound.

Whole wings cuz I'm too lazy to break them down.

Whatever else my brother brings over.

Crabs are in the menu for this coming weekend. Everything else went ok.

I actually did my first pulled pork. Did it on the kettle. About 10 hours. Turned out good. Compliments from the family. Looking forward to next time. Always trying to improve.

We were having a grill out at my nephew's and his POS grill wasn't  working.  So I was asked if I could remedy the situation.  Damn Skippy. Webers to the rescue.

Burgers,  brats and dogs were cooked to perfection.
