Got this off Craigslist for free. Need some attention but can't complain for free. Hopefully next week I will get some time to clean it up and search for some parts.

nice!  Flavor bars shouldn't be hard to do or modify.  I think the burners are the tricky part

That's slick. Congrats!

I would bet those burners are the same as the regular Genesis line but shorter. In other words, you can chop a Genesis burner, crimp the end, then drill the cross burner tube hole.

Nice grab! Someday I'll find one
WTB: Genesis Jr.

Great find.  I really like the Jr ones as it would fit a little better at my place.

I am interested in buying longer burners and cutting them back.  I have a Genesis Jr that my father got in the late 80s.  He kept it in good shape and it has stainless flavorizer bars.  But one of the burners is bad.  The new models are expensive plus I see some people complain that the quality is not as good as the older models.

It seems to me that a welder or a metal fabricator could cut the tube shorter, flatten the end to make a new mounting tab and drill a hole for the crossover tube.  my crossover tube is okay but i see some 3 burner tubes that might also work for the Jr.  I can measure these again but from memory, i think the Jr. burner tubes are about 23 1/8 inch and 1 inch diameter and i thought the crossover tube was 12+ inches (not sure of diameter).  I may do the tube cut down very soon so i'll post any results and if anyone else does it, please post so i can learn.

I should have taken a photo but i did take some measurements of the genesis jr burner tubes:

the crossover pipe is about 13 7/8 in by 3/8 in o.d.

each burner tube is 23 1/8 long X 1 in o.d.

the first burner holes are about 7 7/8 in from the gas feed side of the tube

I would look into using the burners from the Q grills to modify the Jr.
