Hell Fire Grill

I made this several years ago and still use it every week, probably the first of the performer wanabe kettles attached to a table. You guys that cruise the other BBQ forums probably seen this before. I figured this is a good place to share it too.



The oakie fire stick.




A gunk remover tool, an old garden hoe ground to the approximate diameter of the kettle.


Modified fire grate.


Homemade cooking grate.


If your damper blades get bent up and stop working you can tack weld a ring to them and get years more life from them.

You can't always get what you want....but if you try sometimes you get what you need

Thats a sweet mod. I've seen this pic of yours somewhere else, I just cant remember where. What did you make the grates out of?  :D

3/4 X 9 expanded steel and the rim is 1/4" X 1" flat bar.
