Pork loin advice wanted

Background:
Been using a gas grill for years
Fairly new 22" kettle - I've  only cooked chicken on it 3 time (#3 is cooking right now)
2.6# pork loin

I have a set of Weber charcoal baskets and lots of KBB.

I don't have a real good way to monitor temps in the grill.

Any advice on the best way to proceed.

Marinade or rub? I have lots of purchased rubs but want to start making my own marinades, sauces, etc.

Grill setup suggestions?

Get some rub on it, inject it with creole butter or chicken stock. Use one coal basket, light about 10 coals and put them on top. Get temp up to about 250 inside. Put a chunk of applewood on the coals. Cook indirect for about 1.5 hours. You want to hit 140 degrees internal. DONT OVER COOK. Let it rest for 10 minutes. It will be yummy. Sorry so short and to the point, in a rush. Here is a whole one I did on my WSM.

Looks great man, and I love the onion. I did it after your other cook and it was amazing. Have done a few since. Looks like your enjoying the kettle!

Definitely enjoying the kettle.

That is a good and simple way to cook onions.

Pork loin is one of my favorites
I do it lots of ways
but keeping the temp at 350 degrees is best

one of my favorite ways is to cut the loin about 1/2 inch thick as I roll it creating a long mat, then I put stuffing on it, rool it back up and tie it shut.
then it is grill time.

If we were meant to grill with gas then the garden of Eden would have had a pipeline
