Hello,
i am 40 years old from Germany and i start to collect  Weber Kettle Grills some months ago and i found a red 1992 Kettle and a brown from 1984.
A collector friend have a red Weber 26 inch ! (67cm) Kettle bowl from 1986 Letter H.
Curious is that the grate lays on beading that goes around the bowl. There is nothing welded, what is normal i think. Take a look in attaches photos.  Can anyone say something for that?

regards

Weber did make a 22.5" grill with that type of grate holder that got sold by K-Mart, Sears or both. I think it was called an Econo Kettle?

That's what it looks like to me.

Any 26.75 aficionados have any insight?
I've got Webers. 10 - WSMs, 5 - 22.5" kettles, 2 - 18.5" kettle, 2 - SJS, 2 - SJP, 4 - WGA, 1 vintage Coolie Pan

Hello, thanks for your reply. You think it was a low cost production from Weber for K-Markt? Then it has not really a value?Strange how this thing coming to germany.

That black lid looks like a 22" lid to me just by the size of the vent lid in relation to the rest of the lid.
Kettle collector AND cooker!

As a (UK) noobie, I'd hazard a comment that any curio has value............

ArtyS

Hello, the black lid is new from 2012, only the bowl is old. But both are 26 inch.

I'm with Jeff on this. It looks like a 22.5" to me as well.
Care to break out the measuring tape again? This time measure the diameter of the cooking grate.   ;)

Nope! That's 22" not 26.

ArtyS

Ok, let my friend measure it again.  You think that i can get more info from Weber about that bowl? Does anyone have a contact email to Weber USA? (other then the support@..)
