Any love for the smokenator?
« on: May 15, 2016, 05:53:04 PM »
I see a lot of threads and read a lot about the Slow N' Sear. I used one myself and it works great. I've been using a smokenator, however, for the last three years and it works great. Anyone else still using the smokenator?
Looking for colored 18's and SJ's.

I've used one for years with great success. I mostly use a Cajun bandit stacker now.

No.....I used it 3-4 times and it pissed me off every time.  Too much fiddling to get the desired results.  I also didn't like the coals banked up against the porcelain and trapped by the heat shield.

I'd like to try using a Smokenator and Slow'N Sear, as I've banked coals and used many charcoal fuse/snake arrangements. I'm using my smoking "plate," and would love to use the other devices as a comparison. So if anyone has one they'd be willing to let me borrow...
