Simple salt and pepper on the salmon and I marinated the Ahi in yoshidas .

For the artichokes I trimmed them up and steamed them for about 25 minutes . I let them cool, sliced them in half and removed the fibrous center . I then brushed with oil and hit them with salt and pepper

I grilled the artichokes for about 15 more minutes turning them often until I got some nice char on them
After the salmon was done about 15 minutes on the plank I removed it and flipped the plank over to use the charred side for the marinated tuna

The tuna was planked for about 4 minutes a side and then quickly seared . For the artichoke dip it was mayo, sour cream , lemon juice and tarragon , mixed then seasoned to taste

The artichoke was incredible, picked up the applewood smoke nicely , a lot of work but the heart was a nice reward at the end .

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Very nice brother. What was your tuna marinade? How do you guys like them? Rare or done through? I've never tried artichokes before. How is the texture?

Yoshidas was the marinade

I like tuna med rare and the wife med , it's all good.

Basically with artichoke you eat the tip of the leaves , it's just a nibble but you have dozens of leaves so it works out , once you get to the center there's a heart about the size of a .50 cent piece and that's the best part , they have a unique flavor
