It took a while but I found a deal on a Performer in extremely good condition on CL.  I got it for $175 with 7 bags of Kingsford.

Great pick up and with 7 bags of Kingsford I would say your ready to get to grilling.   Love my Performer.  It was my very first charcoal grill I ever bought.  It does it all.

He purchased a big Primo Ceramic and they sold him on using lump with it so that is why he parted with them to sweetening up the deal I guess.  Like many of us he bought copious bags during the 2-bag sales.

Nice job G. Same one I have, but I was green to cl and such so I bought new. All in the past and love my grills, but will always try to buy used.

Anyone looking to part with an old flat top 26er???

Guess he used one  ;)  My wife was not happy to have more bags of charcoal in garage now as I was pretty stocked up.

It's funny.  After using g the gas assist and being able to just run out to the Performer and not have to rustle around for s lighter and paper to get the chimney,  I'd say a good deal on a Craigslist Performer is the absolute way to go.  TD side table,  it's got it all.  Congrats,  you're going to love it!

I prefer a G17....Nice grill I'm still amazed every time I cook on mine. Sometime I feel guilty about
neglecting my other kettles.
