I believe the newer 26ers have a more shallow distance between the charcoal and cooking grate.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

It looks great, @ABCbarbecue

Thanks!  I'm one proud PaPa of this one.  Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks. 8)

I really like that you added the bottom to it.

I am going to buy a 26er just so I can use this.   Nice job @ABCbarbecue !

@ABCbarbecue  How many hours of cook time are you seeing out of a full basket in the 26?

It easily goes past ten hours on a load of Kingsford Blue Bag.  You have to remember it's very easy to reload, though, so yeah 10+ hours is impressive but the burn time isn't critical.  Reloading is easy and takes less than a minute.

You adding that bottom plate on to the 22in model?

The only part of this thread that is not very accurate is the part where @ramsfan said he would be the first in line.

This. I already have the 22 version and would like a bottom plate.
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

I would like to have a bottom plate on my 22 version as well

@ABCbarbecue, do you have a picture of the new 26" SnS sitting in a 26.75" Weber grill?
This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

This will be nice for those with a gas assist.  To be able to gas light it, then move into position will be a welcome addition.
