Decided to make my first fatty.  I found a meatloaf recipe I liked and then gave it yet more flavor.  The bacon weave was fun to make.  It was not perfect but it worked.  It rolled up ok after some gentle persuasion.  Started cooking late and we were getting hungry.  I had a take and bake pizza I got from Safeway.  It was a $9 pepperoni pizza for about 5 and change.  I added some extras and some extra sauce.  We ate that while the fatty was cooking.  For the meatloaf I used a 2x2x1 snake and kept the temp from 250-275.  Total cooking time was about 2.5 hours.  For the last 15 min I brushed on some bbq sauce.  I pulled it from the grill at about 165 internal.  Let it rest for about 10min and served.  It was done perfectly and not dried out.  I was happy with the result.

That looks good. Recipe?

1lb 80/20 grnd beef
1lb grnd pork
Diced red onion
Diced green pepper
1 egg
Italian bread crumbs
Season salt
Garlic powder
Cayenne pepper
Worchester
A1 steak sauce
3/4 cup milk

Make a bacon weave.  You can find alot of good examples on how to do it on line.
Roll it up.  It helps if you weave is on parchment so you can lift and roll it.
Cooked it indirect around 250-275 till internal is about 160 -170.  Any more will dry it out.
The last 15 min I brushed on bbq sauce.  Let it rest for 10 min or so after pulling it off the grill.
I will also post the site I got my idea from.  Use the ingrediants you like.

Thank you. That is actually pretty close to what I will typically make, aside from the milk. I've never added milk. I'm gonna check it out.
