I have got to that with some eggs someday

Jeff

Ive never done that with eggs before.  So they change to that color?  Im assuming they taste like a typical hard boiled egg?

The eggs are for this recipe: http://www.primalgrill.org/recipe_details.asp?RecipeID=136&EpisodeID=35 Which looks like a pretty ordinary egg salad. I let you know how it tastes when I make it.

I started with hard boiled eggs if that's not obvious from the picture. They picked up that much color in 25 minutes.

Yes, in the mini using some apple chunks for smoke. I started with hard boiled eggs for this.

The plate above is as close as I got to a finished plate. I grilled some red peppers and onions and rolled them with a couple slices of sausage, lettuce, cilantro and sour cream to make a sort of tortilla. Not much to see except the tortilla.

Scotch eggs sound interesting but this is much simpler. Just giving some eggs some smoke flavor before I make some egg salad with them.

Edit: I just made the egg salad (really simple - eggs, mayo, salt, pepper and some chopped celery leaves in lieu of parsley) and the smoky flavor really comes through. And is really good. I ran 7 miles on a snowy trail today so I can justify everything that I'm eating. :D
